I began volunteering with MATER Fondazione in January 2021, supporting kitchens across Geneva, and later joined the team at Refettorio Geneva in February 2022. My dedication to MATER continued whenever I returned from Pakistan or Somaliland, where I taught Mathematics (focusing on both content and pedagogy) in Bachelor of Education programs at women’s institutions.
In September 2024, I officially joined MATER as a team member. I hold a BA from Smith College in the USA and a PhD from Yale-NUS College and the National University of Singapore. My journey has also included service in the Peace Corps in Benin.
Growing up in New York, Geneva, and Vienna as a third-culture kid, I have a passion for exploring my surroundings. I love taking on local “completist” challenges, from visiting every mairie and swimming in every accessible spot along Lake Léman to discovering each street named after a woman.
