    How do we use cookies?

On our web pages, we use "cookies", which are small text files that are stored on your computer or mobile device when you visit one of our web pages. We would like to provide you with comprehensive information on our use of cookies below.

9.1 Why do we use cookies?

Cookies are used to ensure the functionality of our web pages, such as the shopping cart function. In addition, we use cookies to tailor our Internet offering to your wishes as a customer and to provide you with maximum browsing comfort. We also use cookies to optimize our advertising. They enable us to offer you advertising and/or specific goods and services that are likely to attract your attention in the light of your use of our website. Our aim is to make our website as attractive as possible to you and to provide you with advertising that matches your interests.

9.2 Which cookies do we use?

Most of the cookies we use are automatically deleted from your computer or mobile device at the end of your browsing session (so-called session cookies). For example, we use session cookies to save your country or language selections and your shopping cart when you continue your Internet session on several pages.

In addition, we also use temporary or permanent cookies, which remain stored on your computer or mobile device beyond the end of the browsing session. Each time you revisit one of our web pages, your preferred data and settings will be automatically recognized. These temporary or permanent cookies, which remain stored on your computer or mobile device for between one month and ten years, are automatically deactivated at the end of the programmed time. They are used to make the use of our web pages more user-friendly, efficient and safe. They also enable you to receive information on the page you are visiting, selected according to your interests.

Cookies stored on your computer or mobile device may, under certain circumstances, allow us to send you advertising that is of real interest to you. These cookies from partner companies enable them to send you advertising of real interest to you. These cookies remain stored on your computer or mobile device for between one month and ten years, and are automatically deactivated at the end of the programmed time.

9.3 What data is stored in cookies?

No personal data is stored in the cookies we use. They cannot be attributed to any specific person. When a cookie is activated, it is assigned an identification number.

9.4 How can you prevent cookies from being saved?

Most Internet browsers automatically accept cookies when you visit a web page, but you can instruct your browser to refuse or accept them only after you have been asked. You can also delete cookies stored on your computer or mobile device by using the appropriate function in your browser. If you decide to refuse our cookies or those of our partner companies, you will not be able to view certain information on our web pages, nor will you be able to take advantage of certain functions designed to facilitate your browsing.

How do we use log data?

When you visit our web pages, certain data about the use of your web browser is transmitted to us for technical reasons and stored in log files. This data includes the date and time you access our website, the name of the website you visit, the IP address of your computer or mobile device, the address of the website from which you accessed our website, the volume of data transmitted and the name and version of your browser.

The evaluation of log files helps us to improve our Internet offerings and make them even more user-friendly, to detect and rectify errors faster and to adjust server capacity. In particular, log files enable us to determine when our Internet offerings are most popular, and thus to provide you with the appropriate volume of data to ensure the best possible use.

How do we use our website analysis tools?

In order to constantly improve and optimize our Internet offering, we use tracking technologies. These are web analysis tools that enable us to compile statistics and graphics on the use of our web pages. The usage data collected for this purpose is transferred to a specific server, which may be domiciled abroad, depending on the provider of the web analysis tool. In the case of the most commonly used web analytics tool, Google Analytics, the recorded data is transferred together with the abbreviated IP address, thus preventing any possibility of identification of individual devices. Google complies with the data protection regulations set out in the Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and is registered with the Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield program of the U.S. Department of Commerce (Information can be found here : HTTPS://WWW.PRIVACYSHIELD.GOV/SWISS-US-PRIVACY-SHIELD-FAQS). The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not shared with other data. Data may only be forwarded to third parties by Google in accordance with statutory provisions or within the scope of the data processing mandate.

If we use other website analysis tools from our partners, the data collection procedure will be basically the same.

You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website without the prior consent of Google. You can prevent the recording of data about your use of the website (including your IP address) generated by cookies for Google, and the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at HTTPS://TOOLS.GOOGLE.COM/DLPAGE/GAOPTOUT?HL=EN. Further information on Google Analytics and data protection is available at HTTPS://TOOLS.GOOGLE.COM/DLPAGE/GAOPTOUT?HL=EN or HTTP://WWW.GOOGLE.COM/INTL/EN/ANALYTICS/PRIVACYOVERVIEW.HTML

How do we use social plugins?

Our web pages use social plugins, for example from the social networking service providers Facebook, Twitter or Google+. These plugins are identified by the provider's logo and may consist of buttons such as "Like", "Google+" or "Twitter".

If you call up our web pages containing such a plug-in, your browser will create a direct link to the provider's server. The content of the plug-in is transmitted directly to your browser by the provider's website, and is then integrated by the provider into the web page you are visiting. As a result of this plugin integration, the service provider is informed of what you have called up on the web page. And if you're already logged in, the provider can link your visit to your profile. When you interact with the plugin, for example by clicking on "Like" or entering a comment, the information in question will be transmitted directly by your browser to the service provider and stored on its server.

If you do not want the service provider to collect data about you via our website, you must log out of the service provider before opening our website. Please note that even if you are not logged in, service providers collect anonymized data via social plugins by installing a cookie on your computer. This data can later be attributed to your profile if you log in with one of the service providers at a later date.

If you are offered a login via a Social Login Service, such as "Facebook Connect", data will be exchanged between the service provider and our website. In the case of "Facebook Connect", this may include data from your public Facebook profile. By using such Login Services, you consent to the transfer of data.

For information on the purpose and scope of data collection and further processing by service providers, as well as on your rights to privacy protection and the possibility of deleting data, please refer to the data protection declarations of the service providers concerned:

If you do not want your personal data to be collected via cookies, you can set your browser settings to block cookies from third-party providers. Following this setting, the browser will not send any cookies to the server integrating content from other providers. As a result, other functions on our website may cease to function.
