Marisa is a passionate relationship builder with expertise in government relations and communications. She has worked with international organizations in Geneva, including the UN Office for theCoordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UN OCHA) and the International Committeeof the Red Cross (ICRC). Currently, she is part of the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund (GCERF), engaging with governments to prevent violent extremism worldwide. She strongly believes in the power of partnerships to unite diverse stakeholders around shared goals. As part of the MATER Fondazione Secretariat, she hopes to flourish and strengthen relations with all those who believe in the right to food.
Before moving to Geneva, Marisa worked as a journalist in Spain, countering disinformation and covering news for El País and Newtral. When she’s not engaging with partners, you’ll likely find her hiking or skiingin the Swiss Alps, cycling around the lake, or reading at the Bains des Pâquis buvette.
